WEDDING DRESS ALTERATION SERVICE AGREEMENT
This Wedding Dress Alteration Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is made and entered into by and between LoveSewTrue (“Tailor Shop”) located at 18025 Sky Park Circle, Suite G, Irvine, CA 92614 and the client (“Bride”).
The effective date begins immediately when the booking deposit has been received and confirmed.
1. Scope of Services
The Tailor Shop agrees to provide alteration services for the wedding dress (“Wedding Dress”) owned by the Client, in accordance with the specifications and measurements provided by and confirmed by the Client. These alterations may include, but are not limited to:
- Fitting adjustments (bodice, skirt, train, etc.)
- Bustle adjustments
- Adding/removing embellishments or accessories (lace, beads, etc.)
- Custom design requests as agreed upon
- Any other alterations or modifications as requested by the Client and agreed upon by the Tailor Shop
The Client shall provide the Wedding Dress for alterations during the specified date, same as the first fitting.
2. Appointment and Fitting Schedule
The Client is required to attend at least [2] fittings during the entire alterations process. The first fitting will occur on the booking date specified on the Tailor Shop’s calendar and the initial drop-off of the Wedding Dress with subsequent fittings scheduled as needed until all alterations are completed to the Client’s satisfaction.
The Client agrees to arrive on time for scheduled fittings and to notify the Tailor Shop at least [1] hour in advance if rescheduling or canceling is necessary. Failure to comply with this notification policy may result in additional fees.
3. Payment and Pricing
Total Price for Alterations:
The total price for the services provided under this Agreement is considered To Be Determined (“TBD”) as the dress alterations process is progressive in nature and unknown.
Deposit:
The Client agrees to pay a deposit (the “Deposit”) of $250.00 upon receiving this Agreement. The Deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the Total Price at the first fitting.
Initial Payment:
The initial payment of the Total Price at the first fitting, after the Deposit is applied, will be due in full of the alterations before any alterations [work] is to be performed and any subsequent fittings continue. The Client must make full payment before pickup or receiving the altered Wedding Dress in any capacity including the case of cancellations, etc.
Final Payment:
The remaining balance of the Total Price will be due upon completion of the alterations. The Client must make full payment before pickup or receiving the altered Wedding Dress in any capacity including the case of cancellations, etc.
Additional Costs:
Any additional alterations or services not initially agreed upon will incur additional charges. The Tailor Shop will provide the Client with a detailed estimate for any additional work, which must be approved by the Client before proceeding.
4. Delivery and Pickup
The Tailor Shop agrees to complete the alterations by the calendar date indicated as the final fitting (“Final Fitting”). The Client will be notified when the Wedding Dress is ready for pickup. The Client agrees to pick up the dress with or without a proper Final Fitting.
If the Client fails to pick up the Wedding Dress within the agreed-upon time, a storage fee of $10.00 per day will apply, starting from the Final Fitting date as indicated on the calendar. The Client must make full payment of storage fees before pickup or receiving the altered Wedding Dress.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Accurate Measurements: The Client is responsible for providing and/or confirming accurate measurements for the Wedding Dress alterations. If the Client is unable to attend fittings in person, by default, a delay will result in the completion of the alterations and rush fees may occur in which the Client will be responsible for.
- Communication: The Client must communicate any changes or concerns related to the alterations promptly to the Tailor Shop.
- Condition of Wedding Dress: The Client must ensure that the Wedding Dress is in a condition suitable for alterations (e.g., unworn or dry cleaned). If any damage is found, the Tailor Shop will notify the Client and provide an estimate for any necessary repairs.
6. Tailor Shop Responsibilities
- Possession of the Wedding Dress:
The Tailor Shop will temporarily keep the Wedding Dress in storage on site at the LoveSewTrue physical place of business.
- Skilled Services: The Tailor Shop agrees to perform all alterations in a professional manner using high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
- Timely Completion: The Tailor Shop agrees to complete alterations in a timely manner and notify the Client of any delays or issues that may arise.
- Confidentiality: The Tailor Shop agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding the Client’s personal information and details of the Wedding/Wedding Dress.
7. Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation by Client: The Client may cancel this Agreement at any time without penalty and the Deposit will not be refunded. Any payments received for the work already provided will neither be eligible for a refund.
- Cancellation by Tailor Shop: In the event that the Tailor Shop is unable to fulfill the terms of this Agreement due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, business closure, etc.), the Tailor Shop will notify the Client as soon as possible and offer a full refund of the Deposit, or an alternative solution agreeable by both parties.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Tailor Shop will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the alterations are completed to the Client’s satisfaction. However, the Tailor Shop will not be held liable for any loss or damage to the Wedding Dress or other items left with the Tailor Shop, unless such loss or damage is caused by the Tailor Shop’s negligence. The Client is encouraged to insure the Wedding Dress against any potential loss or damage.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be addressed through informal negotiation between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be submitted to mediation or binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the arbitration organization or law.
10. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Wedding Dress Alteration Service Agreement as of the day the Deposit has been received and confirmed.
